Pose: The Bobble Head

The Pet Posse April Mini Mission saw the three of us get up before dawn and head to one of our favourite locations – the Taitua Arboretum.  Each of our monthly Mini Mission sees us using one of our own dogs as a model and this month its Fiona, Carol’s standard poodle.

We were talking a lot about style – about how different each of our photographs looked.
Today we thought it would be quite interesting to take a look at how the three of us have photographed the same dog (Fiona), in the same pose (the Bobble Head), in the same location (the Arboretum), within moments of each other.

Your photography style takes time to develop.  It comes with making photographs that are pleasing to you and through knowing what you love and what makes you happy.

As a group, The Pet Posse recommends looking to those who love the light that you do – look to fashion photographers, those who specialise in kid portraits, perhaps architecture with its clean lines and bright light.  Don’t follow the fads, and don’t start comparing yourself to others.  Focus on what YOU love.
